Steve Genetin has been a CPA for 25 years. He graduated from The University of Akron in 1983 and was recruited by regional and national accounting firms, but chose to join a local firm where he served profit and non-profit type of clients in tax and accounting matters. To gain broader knowledge, in 1986 he took a position with The BFGoodrich Company’s Internal Audit Department where he traveled nationally and internationally to examine corporate operations. Ultimately he took on an assistant controller role in their Deicing division and later a Controller role for a group of local Home Health Care Agencies.
This background gave him the solid knowledge and experience needed to establish his own accounting practice in 1998. He enjoys working with individuals and small businesses to prepare tax returns, offer advice, and provide bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll services.
