You will receive your refund based off how you filed your return that year. If you filed your return on paper, you should expect a check within six to eight weeks. If you chose to have your return e-filed, and chose to have a paper check received in the mail you should expect it to arrive in three to four weeks, whereas a direct deposit will be received no later than two weeks.
